• Green variegated patterned background with the scripture from John 20:24-25: But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

The Doubting Thomas In Us All

Have you ever failed miserably and started to feel totally incompetent for ministry or the Christian life? Take heart. All the faithful have been there. We have a tendency to walk off the narrow path Jesus leads us through and just give up. In reflection, that comes from our rather morbid focus on our sin, which leads to despondency. While the Lord would have us realize our weaknesses to keep us humble, He would also want us to realize His glorious strength to save to the uttermost those who believe. Look to Him, not within!
